For many years I have lived in two worlds, that of artist in my free time and the other world of aerospace engineer as my former profession. My art reflects the convergence of these two worlds coupled with my love of abstract. By incorporating the elements of engineering (math, precision, and geometry) into my artwork, I have created a series of unique abstract watercolors. Each one is an original and no two are identical.My current series, called "Razzle Dazzle" is loosely based on the TV test patterns of the 1950's and 60's. I use a variety of color palettes to enliven the precision of the pattern and remove the grid lines freeing the symmetry from the frozen wasteland of engineering and entering the freedom of the abstract world.Although painting is a two-dimensional art form, I like to give the illusion of a third dimension by adding texture to my work.
