Bánh Bánh is a family run Vietnamese restaurant group. Having already had huge success in South East London's renowned Bussey Building, the Vietnamese street food experts have opened up restaurant sites in Peckham and Brixton. Family-run by a team of five siblings born and raised in the local area, their fragrant and beautiful recipes take inspiration from their grandmother. Having worked as a chef in Saigon in the 1940s, she compiled a cookbook of her own that she used to cook for them growing up. The Nguyen's have made it their mission to bring a range of authentic Vietnamese dishes from that very cookbook to one of London's most thriving food scenes. Teaming with local businesses for fresh produce, the best beverages and the trendiest furnishings, Bánh Bánh will serve up simple classics such as Pho (a delicious noodle broth) and Banh Mi (a crunchy Vietnamese baguette) during the day, and will offer more convivial sharing dishes in the evening like fried snapper with mango and banh khot (turmeric and coconut pancakes with prawns).
