Bidmarket is an incubator for some early stage ventures based in Palo Alto. These include:Crypto currency ventures - the main focus is developing a new open and decentralized cryptocurrency specialized for microtransactions that provides near instant transactions for most use cases (with minimally reduced security) and can scale to very high transaction throughputs. A new architecture called Proof of Processing is being developed as these capabilities cannot be provided by existing Proof of Work and Proof of Stake based systems.Kwikly - this can be described as an "automated Groupon". For selected services, consumers are directed to wizards that price jobs for them and take payment. Jobs are then brokered to service providers in the area capable and willing to perform the work according to the availability schedule specified by the consumer. The consumer selects who should perform the work after reviewing profiles Kwikly has generated.
