The Wake Forest chapter of the BLSA serves as a local organization of law students, operating in affiliation with both regional and national BLSA entities. Aligned with the broader mission, our chapter is dedicated to fostering a heightened understanding of and dedication to the needs of the black community and the challenges faced by individual black students. Our members actively engage in various areas including student government, recruitment, and placement, contributing significantly to the law school's vibrant community. An annual highlight is the BLSA-sponsored scholarship banquet, which plays a pivotal role in generating funds for minority scholarships, a testament to our commitment to advancing educational opportunities.Furthermore, our involvement extends to moot court and mock trial competitions. We proudly field a team for both the Frederick Douglass Moot Court Competition and the Constance Baker Motley Mock Trial Competition, both integral components of the Southern Region BLSA Regional Convention, held each spring. As the Wake Forest BLSA chapter, we are resolute in our pursuit of excellence, empowerment, and advocacy. We continue to make strides in creating meaningful change within the legal landscape and beyond.
