Blue Horizon Charity was established in December 2005 after considerable local consultation and a successful horizon expedition to Peru and theAmazon with Kincorth Academy students.Initiated as a community youth charity by 3 Churches (Church of Scotland and Roman Catholic) Blue Horizon is responding to the issues of youth disaffection and anti- social behaviour at school and on the streets of Kincorth and Cove. It has formed strategic partnerships with Grampian Police and Kincorth Academy to offer services and support to young people and their families.Three linked projects offer a range of services. With Grampian Police, a Street Outeach project featuring a refitted double-decker bus was launched in June 2007. This is providing a mobile youth centre, café facilities and street based activities for the area in the evening. Family Worx: Our services providing parent support and education have been running for over 2 years.New Horizons: Two Peru trips have been accomplished, and a third one is being planned for 2010.
