Tucked inside Yongli International Apartments, the bar is alavish, intimate space reminiscent of a speakeasy, where visits are recommended to be made in advance by appointment.Started in 2009 as a passion project by mixologist Frankie Zou, Frankie has had extensive culinary and bar experience working in many of Asia's top establishments including Maison Boulud (by Daniel Boulud), Singapore's DB Bistro & Oysters Bar (Marina Bay Sands), Temple Restaurant Beijing (TRB)and DOMUS fine dining restaurant. With the passions that drive French cuisine to hands-on experience infusing and working with unique flavours like Chinese five-spice blend, Lemongrass, Green tea, and Italian flowers, Botany is theculmination of past F&B cohorts and mentors and an endless stream of new ideas and making every ingredient from scratch.From making homemade bitters to infusions and mastering gastronomic techniques, Botany has 14 different carefully crafted plant-based bitters,homemade vermouth, syrup, and ginger ale. Each of the bar menu's signature cocktails are subtle, layered and delicious using unique ingredients from shiso leaf to Yunnan black truffles and thyme. The cocktail menu is full of whimsical combinations like black truffles and tropical fruit in their Black Truffle Martini and the Sangfroid cocktail's combination of Bombay Sapphire Gin with Sichuan pepper, Meyer lime bitters, lemongrass, fresh blueberry, and pickled pink beetroot. More than just cocktails, guests are pampered with thoughtful treats throughout their visit ranging from Alsatian mushroom Tarte flambée, Alaskan crab with caviar bites, foie gras crackers and minced pork and chive pancakes.Constantly innovating and creating complex flavour combinations, you can count on Botany to deliver outstanding cocktails and an unforgettable experience each and every time.
