Carew Environmental is consultancy specialising in wetland and waterway management and assessment. They provide services for waterway and wetland (stormwater and natural) asset management with ecological, safety and vegetation assessments.The services Carew Environmental provides include: • Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) stormwater asset; vegetation and safety design, condition assessment and construction auditing • environmental/ecological assessment with GIS mapping• waterway and wetland asset assessment • ecological/biodiversity/habitat/natural resource management advice (eg ecological hydrology)• ecological and horticultural input to civil and landscape project designs • auditing of project delivery and horticultural practice to ensure quality standards are met.• GIS mapping of assets and environmental values is undertaken utilising a Trimble TDC600 GNSS/GPS PDA with "Trimble Catalyst" providing <5cm horizontal and vertical accuracy. These services will assist clients and the community in designing and establishing new wetlands along with assessing existing sites for performance or ecological health. Carew Environmental was founded by David Carew in 2020 to enable him to utilise his knowledge and skills developed over 20 years working in wetland and natural resource management. He aims to ensure landscapes are managed for ecological balance to provide the best biodiversity, stormwater treatment (environmental protection) and amenity outcomes for the community.Carew Environmental holds Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurances to cover the services provided.
