Children of Fallen Police Officers Foundation, Inc. is a fully recognized IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization that was founded in 2009 by a retired Law Enforcement Officer who had an aspiration to assist and give back to the children and families of his fallen 'brothers and sisters in blue'.Mission:Our mission is to offer financial assistance, social activities, mentoring and counseling services to the children of fallen Police Officers; organizing and/or participating in community outreach programs to prevent and discourage violence against Police Officers and society; and by carrying on other activities in furtherance of these purposes.Objective:The children of fallen Police Officers sadly have to struggle with living the rest of their lives without the guidance and love from their fallen parent, admired idol and hero. Our objective is to help the children of fallen Police Officers adapt and flourish as much as possible so they can grow to be successful without the help from their departed parent. A lot of fallen Police Officers' families cannot afford extracurricular activities, and unfortunately many of the children fall victim to depression and do not even want to participate in the activities due to their grief. Studies have shown that children who participate in organized sports and fun uplifting activities become stronger and more successful adults from the camaraderie, guidance, leadership, social interactions and confidence building that they receive from participating in such activities. We work to mentor and sponsor the children of fallen Police Officers by covering the cost of them participating in organized sports, dance, music, camps, vacations, attending sporting events and other activities in order to encourage them to flourish and thrive even though they are grieving.
