The Columbia Chapter of Health Physics Society (CCHPS) is a professional organization whose members are specialists in radiation safety. Every year, the CCHPS members participate in various public outreach activities, including: Columbia Basin Engineering Science Fair, STEMCon, and Celebration of Science. Our primary goal is to increase public awareness about the benefits and risks associated with ionizing radiation.For anyone interested in the field of Health Physics (Radiation Protection and Safety) - we are in southeastern Washington State where lots of groundbreaking science is done everyday.
