Through cutting-edge research, policy engagement, and knowledge sharing, DSI fosters innovative solutions for a responsible and resilient digital society.Situated on Berlin's Museum Island, DSI actively engages with policymakers, regulators, and industry leaders, providing strategic recommendations and contributing to the development of policies that promote digital resilience, trust, and best practices.Founded in 2016, DSI has the vision to be an interdisciplinary research hub, anticipating technology trends and developing suitable solutions. Since 2022, the Institute has been led by Heli Tiirmaa-Klaar, former Estonian Ambassador-at-large for Cyber Diplomacy, bringing extensive expertise and experience to its activities.
