Far West Film is a San Francisco documentary film production company founded in 2007 by executive producers and director Noel Dockstader and Quinn Kanaly. Their highly acclaimed, character-led science, history, and environmental films have been broadcast worldwide on outlets such as National Geographic, Discovery, and PBS. Their first feature documentary, Point of No Return, had its international premiere at CPH:DOX and screened in over 26 countries, including the United Nations and the Climate Conference, COP 23. The stories they tell are dynamic and diverse. Recent Far West productions include Extreme Ice for PBS/NOVA, Collapse, a two-hour special for National Geographic based on the book by Pulitzer Prize-winning author, Jared Diamond, and Search for the Head of John the Baptist, now airing on National Geographic Channels worldwide.
