Be that in the form of complete site management and full re-fitment of a venue, manufacture and installation of counters, handmade furniture or bringing to life the bespoke, imaginative vision of someone in need of something special.The family journey into the industry started five generations ago with Great Grandfather Bill Stacey. A master upholsterer by trade, he served as the foreman at Sheard Binnington, a renowned Doncaster company specialising in a large variety of services including carpentry, french polishing, funeral directing and coffin construction, as well as manufacture of fine furniture - pieces that are considered antiques today.Following Bill's Passing, his grandson George followed in his footsteps joining Sheard Binnington aged 14 and training as a cabinet maker, where he worked until being called up for National Service in 1951. Joining the RAF, George's skills were utilised during his postings in both the Suez Canal and Libya throughout the war effort, returning from which he opened up a shop in Tickhill, Doncaster selling trade supplies, as well as manufacturing furniture from the workshop behind.In keeping with tradition, George's son Graham worked alongside his father, who in turn brought him on as a cabinet maker. Completing both his college education, and additional examination to gain membership to the institute of carpenters, Graham also went on to win the apprentice of the year award, which was featured in the local papers. Eventually wishing to target the specialist commercial market, Graham went on to establish the company we see today.
