At Greengage we build apps for mobile devices - mainly iPhone and iPad. We're also looking to expand to Android and Windows Mobile. There's a huge demand for this sort of service, and it's increasing. Otago businesses now have a local option in Greengage when they want to build their apps.We're also building an environment to help keep IT graduates from the Otago Polytechnic and University of Otago in Dunedin. These institutions turn out a high quality of graduate, but often they just don't have the skill set or experience needed for a local company to risk taking them on. And so they leave.At Greengage we're creating a "finishing school" if you like - a place where new graduates can learn their craft working on real projects using best practices. And if they reach a point where they want to move on, we can introduce them to other local IT firms. The aim is to promote and strengthen the local IT community, given the raw talent we already have.At Greengage we believe in well-crafted apps and growth - creatively, personally and professionally.
