Healthfix Complementary services Limited was set up to ensure that citizens of Nigeria have adequate and affordable healthcare. We recorgnize the efforts of the government, institutions and the organized private sector in this direction but have noted that more work needs to be done especially in the area of primary healthcare. The current statistics from World Health Organization, UNICEF, Ministry of Health and the MDG office available on the health situation in Nigeria clearly confirm our position. To ensure that we remain focused on our core objectives, we have identified key areas where we need to synergize with government as well as other interested bodies. Also identified are areas where we need to accelerate our efforts toward ensuring that we deliver on our mandate which is to make quality healthcare affordable and accessible to all the citizens of Nigeria. We seek to improve awareness, advocacy, alliance building and renewal of political commitment in the area of primary healthcare within the country.In the 2010 MDG report, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr Ebele Goodluck Jonathan enjoined all Nigerians to partner with the government in making the MDG a success for the benefit of the poor and vulnerable citizens in every corner of Nigeria. We at Healthfix have responded to this call and we hope others will.The task ahead is a very challenging one but we are determined to ensuring that our goal of making healthcare affordable to all is met. We will leverage on technology, skilled manpower and existing structures to drive our objectives. The healthcare needs of Nigerian citizens are broad and diverse hence we will be taking them a step at a time. Our initial focus will be on the primary healthcare needs. Based on our success indicators, which we hope, should be fine, we will then graduate to the next level.
