I have had a passion for painting and sculpture since childhood. I'm always excited by the opportunity to portray a subject in an unpredictable way. Each of my sculptures are 'one off' unique pieces entirely handcrafted by myself using ideas plucked from my quirky and fertile imagination. I like to avoid realism at all costs!My current quirky females, animal figures and also luminaries often incorporate a steampunk/android theme or a humorous twist.This style is also evident in my recent work using pastels and acrylic paint to produce an Alice in Wonderland series of original paintings and giclee prints with my own quirky twist and interpretation.I also create embossed, pierced and sculpted tea light holders made from fine earthenware or translucent porcelain giving off a cosy, atmospheric glow. My pierced "lady-lamps" are inspired by the female form, my humorous animals by my desire to hopefully raise a smile from the viewer.
