Leadership St. Pete Alumni Association (LSPAA) is an organization which serves the alumni of the Leadership St. Pete Program (LSP), and accepts alumni from other leadership programs, as well. Founded in 1975 by Gene Oliver and his LSP graduate friends, LSPAA was formed as an independent 501(c)3 organization.LSPAA functions include the First Friday Forum, which is a once-a-month topical program available to interested LSPAA members, several Alumni Socials throughout the year, and the Outstanding Alumnus and Community Leadership Awards.In 2008, LSPAA launched a new website, www.LSPAA.com, as a way to promote LSP and the alumni programs and to communicate with and notify LSP graduates of opportunities to keep involved with each other and the community. LSPAA also has a Facebook page which promotes social functions with notices and a photo gallery.This is the 36th year of LSPAA and alumni remain involved and supportive of the LSP program, coordinated by the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce (SPACC). New goals have been outlines for the upcoming year and you can look forward to great things ahead for LSPAA.
