LET'S SHARE A MEAL is a mission inspired by Guru Nanak Dev Ji's sakhi; "Sacha Sauda". Guru Nanak Dev Ji bought and distributed food among saints and poor with money that his father gave him to start the business. Walking on the same line, LET'S SHARE A MEAL team has been taking food to homeless shelters and other distribution centers across the tri-state area since 2012.LET'S SHARE A MEAL experience over previous years has been extremely humbling and sharing the meal with the broader community across racial and class lines have given a glimpse of understanding "Sacha Sauda". LET'S SHARE A MEAL is encouraged with its experience; feedback and humility of sharing the meal; that it plans to take this mission across state lines in US and across country lines around the world. LET'S SHARE A MEAL visions to the day when every Gurudwara around the world is actively participating and reaching out to share the meal with members of its local community. LET'S SHARE A MEAL envisions providing a central place where any Gurudwara can register to participate in the program. Gurudwara will have access to all resources and experience of LET'S SHARE A MEAL organization. At the central place, individuals across the world and local members of registered Gurudwara's community will be able to register, volunteer as well as make the contribution towards the event.
