Manolitas are collection cloth dolls sewn with an eye for detail and is the end result of much inspiration and passion generated to bring each one to life. Handmade in El Salvador, each and every item is one of a kind. Assembly, construction, embroidery and finishing touches are all delicately handcrafted by highly skilled local artisans. Small details accent each Manolitas' individuality and personal charm, end resulting in a personification entirely handmade from the heart.Manolitas uses a wide variety of materials for construction and costuming, from cotton and felt to silk organza and vintage lace. Hair is made from wool yarns hand stitched into place. Each doll's size ranges from 16-inch to 19-inch standing figures depending on head ornaments. Bodies are stuffed with compacted polyester fibers. Facial features are completely embroidered by hand giving each doll its character and personality. Costumes are removable and range from dresses in printed cottons to couture-like creations made from silk, tulle, vintage lace and finished with delicate dressmaking ornaments. Actual weight averages 1.25 pounds. Included with each doll is an original certificate of authenticity.
