MEL Foreign Trade and Consultancy Inc., which was founded in 2007, is a part of MARVEL Group which is active in shipping, chartering, defense, trading and energy. MARVEL Group also owns a polyethylene foam factory, traded in Istanbul Stock Exchange, and also owns and constructs a 42.000 sqm skyscraper in Istanbul's business district, Maslak.Over the past years MEL has attracted a great deal of attention with the works carried out, mostly consulting, especially in the energy sector. Taken into account Turkey's highest solar power potential and also given its commitment to renewable energy in the recent years, MEL accelerated its renewable energy works in 2013. Whereas in Turkey, it is still believed that there is a vacancy in institutional approach towards solar energy.
