At Metropolitan State College students can undertake alternative andtraditional majors, while being given access to opportunities beyond theclassroom, not to mention the lively city of Denver.At Metropolitan State College students can get a bachelor’s degree insuch professional fields as Human Services, Nursing, Special Educationand Engineering. Degrees in the Fine, Liberal and Performing Arts,Humanities and Business are also offered.Students who wish to pursue a field of study not offered at Metropolitanmay enlist in the Individualized Degree program, whereby they createtheir own major.A writing center, a personal counseling facility, a career developmentcenter and a cooperative education center, which assigns students tointernships, are some of the services providing support and opportunitiesbeyond the classroom.In addition to providing campus activities, which include student clubs,publications and arts organizations, Metropolitan is in close proximityto all that a large city like Denver has to offer.Students who meet SAT and grade requirements are automatically admittedupon applying. Other students are evaluated based on these and othercriteria.Financial aid is available to qualifying students.
