The MoH mission is to combat domestic violence and sexual abuse of women and children through education, advocacy, support, empowerment, and improving the living standard for the vulnerable. We aim to do this by creating a platform, a home where victims of sexual and domestic violence can freely and safely breaks silence to speak up and find adequate social support, short and long term.Moon of Hope was created on a true story of the founder "Dina". She is a survivor of both domestic violence and sexual assault starting at the age of 5. She was sexually abused by a very close family member. She also grew up witnessing her mom being beaten up physically, verbally, emotionally by her dad. She kept her story secretly for 25 years. But the pain and all the damages was killing her softly. At the age 26, she became a mom and give birth to the most beautiful girl. Unfortunately, at the age of 4, her daughter was also sexually molested by her stepdad. Dina for once did not wait, she fought for her daughter and put the pedophile in prison. It was at that moment she realized silence will never bring her some sort of justice. During her daughter process they offered her mental help, she accepted. She began to open up and was convinced after treatment that by telling her story, she can empower, give hope and save lives of those with a similar experience. The fact that she was a child who became a woman therefore, she wanted the mission and vision of the organization to focus on children and women. Her goal is to reach all the silent "Dina" in each community, provide them with social support and advocate for equality and justice so that they can break the cycle of violence in our society.
