For over 50 years, the Musical Theatre Society of Emerson College (MTS) has been supporting the production of Musical Theatre on campus for the entertainment, education, and cultural enrichment of the Emerson Community. MTS produces anywhere between 4 and 7 productions annually, including the Emerson Fights AIDS (EFA) Gala and Cabaret, a benefit for Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS; Cabaret of Color, directed and performed by Emerson students who identify as BIPOC; and a diverse selection of mainstage musicals (Recent productions include You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown; Heathers: The Musical; Ride The Cyclone; and FALSETTOS). In addition to performances, MTS hosts various other events throughout the semester, including professional masterclasses, community events, and the annual presentation of the Artist of Distinction award with Emerson Stage.
