The mission of the Northern Ohio Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Team is to assist any and all public safety personnel, hospital staff and school employees cope with the impact of critical stress by coordinating critical incident stress resources. The purpose of this assistance is to provide the affected people with access to services available to help him/her with effects of critical stress, to lessen the impact of critical incident stress, and to accelerate the recovery from a critical incident. The CISM/Peer Support Team will also provide assistance to sworn and non-sworn public safety members who are cumulatively experiencing significant stress, whether work or personal related.
