Online School of Structural Engineering (SSE) is founded by Dr. Samith Buddika, Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya.The objectives of SSE are:- Discuss basic theories of Structural Engineering- Structural Analysis and Design examples using FEM- Conduct online Talks related to Structural Engineering- Provide the state-of-the-art in Structural EngineeringAbout Dr. SamDr. Samith Buddika earned his BSc.Eng degree with First Class Honors from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. He obtained his MEng and PhD from Tokyo Institute of Technology (TIT), Japan.His research is in the area of Earthquake-resistant design and analysis of structures, precast/prestressed structural systems, self-centring structures, and Structural Health Monitoring, and Wind Analysis Design of buildings.Dr. Samith Buddika has worked at JFE Steel Corporation, Japan and Commonwealth Engineers Co.,Ltd, Japan. He has worked as a consulting Engineer to many national and international projects since he returns to Sri Lanka.
