PPI stands for Perhimpunan Pelajar Indonesia - literally Indonesian Student Association. The first PPI was established by Indonesia's founding fathers in the Netherlands in 1908 when they were studying in the Netherlands. PPI Sweden houses all activities of Indonesian citizens who are studying in Sweden. Furthermore, it is also a medium to promote Indonesian culture and value. As a medium to promote Indonesian culture and value, PPI Sweden also has maintained a close relationship with other Indonesian Student Association in all over the world, as well with the establishment of cooperation and partnership with the Indonesian Embassy in Sweden and other Indonesian organizations in Sweden, as well with the Swedish Embassy in Indonesia
