The founding of the firm stems from the "real world" perspective of strategic global asset allocation solving actual problems rather than mere lofty ivory tower theory. PEI has evolved over the years by aiding clients directly and getting involved in solving their particular problems around the world that have predominantly surfaced from the rise and fall of currencies. Considering that the postwar era was constructed upon fixed exchange rates, there was minimal risk associated with international investment limited primarily to political instability.
