Simpact Foundation is a philanthropic organisation whose vision is to bring hope to the most vulnerable women and children living in poverty through transformational social impact. As a social enterprise we believe that a market based approach can deliver an alternative sustainable funding source for development initiatives aimed at helping improve the lives of many people living in poverty in Zambia. Our social investment programs are primarily focussed on;Addressing Gender Inequality through economic empowerment of marginalised women in savings groups (SGs) by increasing access to financial capital , facilitating market access and building financial and entrepreneurial skills required to help them grow their microenterprises. Our education programs are aimed at addressing poverty by improving the quality of education for vulnerable children in poorly funded community schools. Our ambition over the next 10 years is to reach at least 250,000 vulnerable children that use poorly funded community schools that are plagued with poor classroom infrastructure and limited desk capacity, among others.
