SmarterGrades is a personalized online maths tutor for grades 6-12 with innovative question type along with step-by-step explanations.Various Question Types and Tools – Our bank of questions will not be restricted to multiple choice, unlike most of our competitors. For example, we have already created an online geometry app and a bar graphing app.Interactive Step-by-Step Explanations – When a student is continuously getting a problem wrong, we don't feel repeating the same question type again and again is necessarily the best way forward. Instead, we offer the student an interactive step-by-step explanation of the problem. Learning Algorithms – We are planning to use the latest research on intelligent tutoring systems to teach students in the best manner. Using a model developed in Carnegie Mellon University, we will calculate the "activation" of the individual student, or how well they would do on a problem if it was given to them right now.
