The Spark Economy Research Centre (SERC) was conceptualised and founded in the beginning of 1991 by a group of long experienced experts of Indian Iron and Steel Sector and Economy Planning and started to publish its professional journal 'Steel Scenario' in the same year.The journal was started by founder Editor Late Dr. Manoj Chatterjee along with a group of veterans connected with steel and allied industry. Since 2011 Steel Scenario expanded its domain to non-ferrous sector along with ferrous. Since 2011, a dedicated group comprising of directors Dr. Mrs. Jyotsna Chatterjee, Mrs. Sakuntala Chatterjee Chanda, Mr. Pradosh Jana Ray along with desk editor Arunava Nandan and Hony. Editor Mr. Sushim Banerjee working on regular basis for catering to the need of global ferrous, non-ferrous and allied sectors. Lately, SSERC no longer exists, the company name is Spark Economy Research Centre, with Proprietor Ms. Sakuntala. She is assisted by a team of expert professionals connected to steel and allied industry publication sector.
