Sprout Academic Empowerment Initiative (SAEI) is an NPO led by zealous individuals who are committed to advancing equal education opportunities for all sectors of society. At SAEI we not only tutor and mentor high school pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds, but we also seek to influence graduates and academics to use their skills and knowledge to sow back into the communities that raised and moulded them. One of the unique features of South Africa's constitution is the call to citizens to play their role in overcoming the country's challenges and ensuring a more equitable South Africa. At SAEI we have heeded this call. Through collaborating with leaders as well as the laypeople in disadvantaged communities, SAEI hopes to build long lasting legacy that promotes equality through accessible and non-discriminatory education.
