Scholarly journal issued by Institute of Sociology, University of WarsawNumer ISSN: 2083-3059As an anti-disciplinary magazine, "Stan Rzeczy" ("State of Affairs") aims to open up a platform for dialogue between sociology and other disciplines within the social sciences and humanities sphere: anthropology, economics, philosophy, history, literary studies, law, theology etc. As we understand it, an interdisciplinary approach bridges the gaps between narrowly demarcated fields of research as well as combining diverse techniques and research methods. We would, therefore, like to return to a more holistic study of society, offering more elaborate and extensive explanations for social phenomena rather than conforming to certain specialisations designated by research methods or historically embedded divisions between the specific interests of individual sciences.
