Surmount Fitness and Performance (SFP) provides physical therapy/rehab services, running coaching & programming, speed training, and strength training to athletes of all ages and ability levels. Surmount is born out of a significant challenge that I had in 2019. In 2019, I found out that I had a congenital heart abnormality - I didn't know that I had it until I had some testing done after passing out during a run. This diagnosis meant that it was unsafe for me to run, because the next time I had an episode, it could be sudden cardiac arrest. Fortunately, my heart abnormality was able to be fixed - I had open heart surgery in December of 2019 to correct the issue and have been able to run problem-free ever since. There was a period of time, however, when I was unsure whether I'd ever be able to run again, let alone do any form of exercise other than walking. There are many people out there who are like me - for one reason or another, they were told that they couldn't or shouldn't return to the activities that they love. I want to empower these people to surmount or overcome the obstacles that they are facing. I believe that it is possible for them to have victory over their doubts, fears, and setbacks so that they can enjoy the process of training and living an active lifestyle.SFP provides the following services:- Physical therapy/rehab services - Running coaching- Strength training for runners- Speed training- Remote coaching and training for those not in the Cincinnati area- Educational content on running and living a healthy lifestyle
