TEDxParamaribo: TEDxParamaribo is the National (Suriname) variant of the U.S. TED event which offers a platform for the Surinamese perspectives of the TED topics. (Technology, Entertainment, Design, Science, Sustainability, Art, Education and Global Issues). In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxParamaribo, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxParamaribo event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.Why TEDxParamaribo? TEDxParamaribo focuses on the way Surinamese think, (together) work, live, communicate, inspire, learn and manage. It is a community which motivates both by sharing positive, constructive and innovative ideas and inspires its environment.
