For the Love of Mountain Biking...My name is Jake Johnstone and I created The Mind Mountain to combine my passions for Mountain Biking, Coaching, and Mindset. Originally from Australia, I was inspired by the laid-back mountain sports scene I experienced while working in New Zealand. This fueled my lifelong passion for adventure and spurred the move to BC in search of a bigger playground. As a self-confessed mountain sports addict, I enjoy personal exploration and growth through my riding. An ideal day for me starts with riding a ‘friendly' climbing trail from my mountainside home, then descending a healthy mix of tech and flow.For the Love of Coaching...I help Mountain Bikers gain confidence and have more fun, more often. As a professional Mountain Biking Instructor, I have become well-known and respected throughout the greater Sea to Sky area. After training with some of the worlds leading Mountain Bike coaches, Sports Psychologists, and Mental Trainers, I developed my own unique and effective coaching methods. I focus on taking a holistic approach to Mountain Bike progression to ensure a well-rounded skillset and confident attitude, paving the way for consistent growth no matter your current ability.
