The Rhys Jenkins Opportunity Fund works in partnership with Loughborough University to provide design students with financial assistance. The fund was set up in memory of former Loughborough Design Student, Rhys Jenkins, who passed in 2019.Rhys was always conscious of how fortunate he was in life, and proactively sought out opportunities to help others who were less fortunate than him. In line with his selfless approach to life, the Rhys Jenkins Opportunity Fund provides financial assistance to those who without help, may not have the opportunity to attend and gain the experiences that so many of us have been lucky enough to enjoy and benefit from. Rhys enjoyed his time at University, especially within the Design School, and enabling others to gain such experiences aligns with the legacy Rhys has left.
