The Union Area Chamber of Commerce is organized to promote the economic, industrial, professional, educational, cultural & civic welfare of the Union area & to support efforts to constantly improve our community.The Union Area Chamber of Commerce began in 1909 as Union Commercial Club. It was formed primarily for the purpose of unifying the Union business community and encouraging residents of Union to do their shopping locally. The Chamber was formally incorporated on April 19, 1979.The Union Chamber was organized to "promote the economic, industrial, professional, educational, cultural and civic welfare of the Union area while supporting efforts for continuously improving the community." Services offered include business retention and recruitment, small business development, education on new business trends, support of local charitable organizations, funding of scholarships, hosting of community events, and more.
