We are a coalition focused on discussing community resources, community housing (especially, in regards to the lack of affordable housing and the increase in gentrification), preservation/conservation of the area, and how we can make our voices heard. University Park tenants deserve to know their rights. Our community deserves to have its voices heard. The University Park Action Coalition was founded by hairdresser-turned-community activist, Aurora Becerra, in November 2017. Meetings are the third Wednesday of every month at the Hoover Recreation Center.Our mission:To represent the University Park community when it comes to quality of life issues. As well as, to give the neighborhood a voice and to empower it to fight for the changes it wishes to see.
