Our Mission:Vancouver Search and Rescue is a community based volunteer Search and Rescue team that is dedicated to acquiring the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to assist First Responders in the event of an urban disaster. Our team strives to adhere to cutting edge certified training and education in order to assist with effective search and rescue operations. As an all hazards response team, Vancouver SAR trains in a variety of technical rescue disciplines in order to facilitate current and future urban and rural search and rescue operations.What We Do:We are dedicated to providing community awareness, disaster preparedness, first aid, technical rescue and light urban search and rescue services. We have the ability to utilize K9 search dogs and other specialized techniques to provide support to our municipality and act as a resource to British Columbia's emergency services.
