WAAO is a volunteer association created to provide Wisconsin assessment professionals a support organization committed to promoting the public good. WAAO promotes ethical and assessment standards through professional development, continuing education, and public awareness of Wisconsin's assessment process. The officers and directors of WAAO strive to uphold the ideals of fair and equitable assessment practices for all property owners throughout Wisconsin. Like property values in your community, our organization is dynamic, always evolving, and responsive to external forces. Our goal is to maintain a credible role in support of professional and ethical standards for assessment practices in this continually changing profession. WAAO maintains a close working relationship with the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) and the North Central Regional Association of Assessing Officers (NCRAAO) to achieve our objectives and build upon our professionalism.Within WAAO, we have created a number of committees dedicated to the practice of specific components of the assessment process.
