Co-founded by Illana Shoshan, Miss Israel of 1980 and voted Miss Israel of All Time in 2010, and Yael Swerdlow, the Women's Empowerment Foundation mission is to EMPOWER, EDUCATE AND LIBERATE through our series of lectures.\Women traditionally make their journey to empowerment, if they make it at all, in tortured silence. They are too busy raising the children, looking after their spouses, and now, all too often, caring for their aging parents, to think about their own needs until it's too late.\Instead, women suffer alone, and more and more, without the safety and support that a community provides, women give up on themselves. Without that mirror to reflect their inherent value, they wither, invisible to even themselves.\The Women's Empowerment Foundation mission is to provide this most necessary ingredient for that journey to empowerment: Community.
