Black Leaders within nonprofits, small businesses, faith communities, educational entities, and civic organizations have joined together to influence and eliminate County policies, funding, and programs that have historically created gaps in health, wealth accrual, and access to equity in education within the Black Community. The purpose of the Montgomery County Black Collective (the Collective) is to bring together Black community leaders in the nonprofit and for-profit sectors to address the long-standing inequity and dearth of financial and capital support in the building of Montgomery County-based organizations in their communities.The Collective's mission is to raise awareness, create active engagement, and advocate for resources that address racial equity and social justice related to business and capital development in the Black community.We envision a thriving, prosperous, and healthy Black community in Montgomery County.
