The power of our synergistic approach has been demonstrated during the COVID-19 pandemic through Wayne Health's partnership with WSU Health Sciences and ACCESS to test thousands of metro Detroit's most vulnerable citizens, health care workers, corrections officers and first responders through COVID-19 screening events. The CPHA is founded on a bold strategic vision to provide integrated "whole-person" physical and behavioral health services, including partnerships to address the social determinants of health (poverty, housing, transportation, food insecurity, etc.) that affect a person's health and well-being.Through a network of community health partnerships, the CPHA emphasizes early intervention and preventive care, both in conventional health care settings and non-traditional community locations, such as neighborhood pharmacies, barber and beauty shops, schools, outreach events, mobile units and telehealth.
