Founded from within the MMA community for the MMA community, the purpose of IMMAFA is to further the development and recognition of the sport of Mixed Martial Arts in Australia, participating in international competition through the organization of national MMA federations around the world. We will establish amateur rankings and foster athlete development so that as a country, Australia is well supported in all international amateur competition.The possibilities for development of MMA are great, but as for any sport there are also challenges. In order to harness all this potential there is a need for a common point of reference, to be part of the IMMAF democratic body which organizes and drives the development of the sport on a worldwide basis.
