Northern Virginia Chapter 77 was chartered in 1974 by several members of Washington, D.C. , Chapter 8. Since that time, Chapter 77 has become highly effective in focusing on the educational and professional needs of property managers in the Northern Virginia area. Through the early years, membership grew steadily and by 1984, the Chapter included 48 members. Today, total membership is nearly 350. This growth reflects the dedication of those who have served on the Chapter's Executive Council and the leadership of its current and past presidents. Many of these past presidents have remained supportive and active in IREM affairs at both the Chapter and the National levels.
