The Youth Standing Group (aka Youth SG) is the permanent representation of young people of the Internet Society. Originally known as Youth Observatory, founded in 2015 and mostly formed of young people from Latin America and the Caribbean acting as Special Interest Group (SIG) within the Internet Society since 2016, it has grown as global community.Our objectives are the same as ISOC, specially the mission to promote the development of the Internet as a force for good in society. Besides, we emphasize the training of young people on Internet Governance issues, allowing them to take part of this ecosystem and actively participate in regional and international forums.Our main areas of concern on Internet Governance are gender and youth empowerment, access and diversity, cybersecurity and digital rights, besides others.
