Independent Environmental Limited was set up in 2009 to provide professional independent services to clients in matters pertaining to asbestos. Since then we have established a solid reputation with our small portfolio of clients, particularly in the housing sector.The business has grown solidly, working primarily with housing associations and local authorites in the midlands and north west. Our training department has also expanded during this time running regular courses in asbestos awareness and non-licensed asbestos work and we are proud to be members of UKATA.Our extensive work in the housing sector has involved management surveys of both common parts of buildings and residential occupancies as well as both targeted refurbishment surveys and demolition surveys. In recent years we have developed our presence in the management of asbestos within the hotel sector working for two major hotel chains.We have also been extensively involved in the writing of asbestos management plans, incident investigation, training and consultancy for multi-national companies giving us a wide range of experience in all sectors of the industry.Independent Environmental has a small team of employees and uses a select group of highly skilled surveyors and consultants both in the surveying teams and the training/ consultancy department.Independent Environmental use highly skilled and experienced FIT2FIT Accreditated Respirator Face Fit Testers to carry out quantitative face fit testing.The services that we provide to our clients include UKATA asbestos training, asbestos surveys, asbestos risk management and management plans, asbestos incident investigations and many more bespoke services. We work in close partnership with several local UKAS accredited laboratories.
