The University of Texas at San Antonio is an emerging Tier One research institution specializing in health, energy, security, sustainability, and human and social development. With nearly 29,000 students, it is the largest university in the San Antonio metropolitan region. The Indian Students Association (ISA) is a voluntary, non-profit student organization with a goal of being the primary gateway that connects the Indian community to the UTSA mainstream. It aims at promoting Indian culture and heritage at UTSA as well as throughout the city of San Antonio. It organizes numerous events around the year that include cultural shows, sports tournaments, various festival celebrations, picnic/hiking trips over breaks and community services. The goal of this organization is to foster new relations with Indian traditions by providing a foundation that represents Indian values, morals and culture at UTSA.
