Inițiativa Romania is a civic movement open to all citizens who believe in the rule of law, integrity, competence, solidarity, accountability and transparency. Initiațiva România is a catalyst for communities and individuals that work for change.Our mission is to empower citizens to build a better future. For this: We bring together communities and individuals who take the courage and the moral strength to get involved in changing their communities, their cities and, thus, the country for the better; We promote an open and participative interaction between citizens and their local and central institutions; We act to bring about an open, transparent and accountable government, focused on solving community challenges; We identify and promote political and civic leaders who are able to bring about needed reforms in Romanian society; We take a grassroots approach in developing public policies.
