Lightspeed Magazine is a science fiction and fantasy magazine, bringing a mix of originals and reprints, and featuring a variety of authors, from the bestsellers and award-winners to the new voices. It is a 2014 Hugo Award Winner, and stories from Lightspeed Magazine have been nominated for the Hugo Award, the Nebula Award, and the Theodore Sturgeon Award.Lightspeed Magazine is comprised of science fiction: from near-future, sociological soft science fiction, to far-future, and star-spanning hard science fiction; and fantasy: from epic fantasy, sword-and-sorcery, and contemporary urban tales, to magical realism, science-fantasy, and folktales. It also includes feature interviews, fiction podcasts, and Q&As with its authors that go behind-the-scenes of its stories.While Lightspeed Magazine originally published only science fiction, in 2012, it merged with its sister publication, Fantasy Magazine, and it now publishes an equal amount of fantasy and science fiction. Its current publication schedule each month includes four pieces of original fiction and four fiction reprints, along with two feature interviews and an artist gallery showcasing its cover artist.Lightspeed Magazine was launched in 2010.
