I am very good at assessing client needs, helping evaluate and assess production and design needs, clearly communicating directives and priorities between multi-faceted teams, stakeholder groups, vendors and clients to ensure the overall project vision and roadmap are accessible, easily-understood and adaptable to fit my clients' business plans, budgets and timelines, development needs, brand marketing and content or information architecture and strategic planning needs. Why? Because I'm a fixer and a maker and I like to create things that have some level of value and ease of use for all interacting with it. If we have to spend our lives all staring into glowing boxes, my goal in making the ones I know well just a little easier (or in many and more accurate client cases, slightly less terrible) seems like a reasonable expectation for what I have been doing with my life over the past two decades. I am actually quite good, I just would prefer to have actually made something real at some point instead of a litany of websites and marketing gimmicks and a ton of UX design and content strategy techniques that made many people very rich, helped defined many parts of this overvalued industry and left me writing in yet another text box on this horrible site in the hopes it will bring me new work. It won't. But if you have an old and complicated archaic old software system that needs to probably be in a SaaS migration to the cloud (which is just a stupid, inflated term for a rented server in a warehouse) - I'm amazing at getting old IT projects with a litany of technical debt up to speed to transition or migrate over and deal with the knots and the puzzles and the actual code from times when it was custom-written, deal with all the stakeholders and make sense of some over-complicated, long-ignored headache that just got pushed back until hahaha it's an emergency. I love those. Give me projects like that.
